About Jarvis & Womack Ltd

Jarvis and Womack Ltd are roofing specialists to the construction industry, established in the 1870's by its founders Mr Jarvis and Mr Womack based at a yard in James Street, Rotherham.

In 1903 Jarvis left the partnership leaving Womack to build a flourishing legacy for the future generations of his family, incorporating the firm as a limited company in 1926.
Now in its fourth generation, under the directorship of Mark Mitchell and his brother, Womack's great grandsons continue to enjoy an enviable reputation within the roofing industry for true professionalism, quality and superior roofing.

Due to continued growth, 1986 saw the company relocate from its original premises in Rotherham to the current offices in Swinton, South Yorkshire. The new premises have become the base for a programme of continued growth and development which now provides employment for a team of 40 specialists within their field.

In 1997, Jarvis and Womack Ltd were the first and only Roofing Contractors in South Yorkshire to achieve accreditation by the C.Q.A Ltd to BS EN ISO 9002. The core strengths of Jarvis and Womack are for new build projects for the Construction Industry, using traditional craftsmen skills for Tiling, Slating and Random Slating large scale projects.

Current projects include Somerfield Store Chesterfield for LMBC Limited, Corn Mill Refurbishment Malin Bridge Sheffield for Jaybuild Limited, Taylor Wimpey roof tiling works to private housing developments, Ransomwood Office Development Mansfield for Allenbuild Limited, Medical Centre Ilkeston for Admiral Construction Ltd and Braemore Apartments Ecclesall Road South Sheffield for Clark Construction.

We have recently completed projects for an Army Foundation College Harrogate for Jarvis Construction and the MoD, Kirkstall Abbey Leeds for Laing Northern and Sheffield Railway Station for C Spencer Ltd.

Projects for listed and other heritage properties are also undertaken. As an approved roofing contractor to English Heritage, churches, town halls and English heritage building roofs have been completed.

Jarvis and Womack Ltd are approved by the leading tile and slate suppliers such as Eternit slate, Penhryn Slate, Redland, Marley, Sandtoft roof tiles, Russel roof tiles and Decra. We are fully conversant with various specialist materials such as Cumbrian and stone slate. We also use innovative and cutting edge materials when available.
